Roam App June Update

The June update culminates two months of gradual improvement and is available today in the iOS App Store for download. Check it out now!
In this post we'll review the top improvements and additions to the app made available in the June update. Let's take a look:
1. Waypoint Creation for Activities
You can now create waypoints while recording an activity. Waypoints will show up on the map for the activity and can contain metadata like text, waypoint type (i.e. bathroom, obstacle), and photos and videos. This is great if you want to remember a specific point in your journey when you return later, or if you want to contribute your activity to the Roam Trail Map in the future.
To create waypoints, simply click the "+" button on the record screen while recording.
2. Improved Trail Discovery
With all of the improvements we've been making to the trail map on the web, we wanted to make sure app users weren't left out. Therefore we've ported many of the features made to the web to mobile - including improved search, and "featured trails." Note that all of the trails available on the web are also available on the app, and are synced when you download a region offline. Access the new trail discovery experience by simply tapping on the "Explore" tab in app.
3. Dedicated Vehicle Screen
Vehicles are getting their own dedicated screen - now when you tap the vehicle associated with an activity you will be able to see more information about it. In the future this will be home to features like that vehicles build log, media, trails ridden, etc. Access the vehicle screen by tapping on the vehicle in the activity details screen.
Those are the hallmark features of our June update. Additionally, there are many small tweaks and improvements we hope you'll enjoy.
Looking forward to see everyone's experience with the new app version. See you out there on the trails!
